147 Essex Street in NYC's Lower East Side was designed in 2001 by Lewis.Tsurumaki.Lewis and FreeCell as a studio and workshop for young NYC firms such as L.E.FT, nArchitects, Architecture Agency, Miloby Ideasystem, Briggs Knowles Architecture and Design, among others.
After six years as a collective studio, these firms have moved on to their own offices and the space is once again available...this time with office furniture in place. The landlord Salvatore Clemente is searching for new tenants and can be reached at: clementenyc@verizon.net
The tenants once split the cost of the space according to number of desks...but I imagine a new lease would require a 10+ person firm or a team of firms getting together. Sort of a cool opportunity though...

Sally,
Do you rent out desk space?
Who's Sally? Sal? Anyway, the answer is no.
