D. work for glazing contractors----> drowning...all the "mid-big" glazers in LA have $12-15 million in contracts still waiting to go in the ground and can't get enough crews. We're booked through 2009.
my office has gone from B to D in a year... we are hiring like mad, running out of room, and having to consider turning down very compelling competitions due to a lack of people to work on and run the projects. D
don't know if the a/b people are hesitant to take part in the poll, but this seems very encouraging. for all of our complaining about the profession, what do we really have to complain about? work seems plentiful for most everyone these days.
i'm too busy to go grocery shopping...ate a plateful of bacon for lunch yesterday and a bag of microwave popcorn for dinner...pathetic, init? i'll probably just settle for eating at the golf clubhouse today even though the portions are much more than i need.

Would you catagorize your office's workload right now as:
A. Just a dream
B. busy enough to pay the bills
C. Humm'n along with more to come
D.Drowning in new work
in the past few months we went from 'C' to 'B'
C, maybe D and in detroit. we're probably an exception for the market.
We waffle between B and C, as many of our projects are very long-term endevours and get put on hold multiple times during the process.
Probably going from B to A. I'm leaving in 18 days so I'm not terribly concerned about it.

CtoB...i am glad to see all the D's though...
A
a very strong D. Turning away work we would could have only dreamed about three years ago. hiring like mad and running out of space.

B - but it seems like we could be D any day now - sort of nerve racking
puddles at he country club, jolly good man.
Very D,
how else did I get a job?
Do all these D's sound, to anyone, like BOOM time?
How long will it last?
Is anyone old enough to remember the last one,
or did they all burn out and fade away?
C+ with an eye to not be D to avoid all the kaos and disaster that too much work can bring, turn down work and maintain a healthy work environment.
After all it is summer!
