If people don't try to obtain different perspectives of the same occurence and make up your mind that way, then how are you not as bad as someone who votes for a president by judging to see whether or not they are a good drinking buddy. Hell I'd drink with him, I bet he'd be fun.

I'd say most if not all of us are moderate, it would be ridiculous if I voted based on what I am registered as. Which by the way is nothing because I'm not even a citizen YET!

Huanmic, i agree with you that people should seek out multiple sources in the aim of a more thorough understanding of an issue, but i wouldn't call limbaugh the equivalent of something like npr. simply because his politics are opposite, doesn't mean he qualifies as a reputable source of information & discourse. i think you have to consider the politics of the source but also the quality.

i agree with what you said above, though, that people should obtain their information from multiple sources--people living in a free society have the right to access multiple sources and forms of information, and if we don't take advantage of that to edify themselves, we are fools.

Huanmic - i respect the fact that you can listen to Democracy Now AND Rush Limbaugh - just don't let your head explode!

AM right-wing talk radio. It's amazingly entertaining as long as you don't take it too seriously. Though right-wing up here in Canada isn't even on the same map as what I've heard in the US.


TV:

Daily Show and Colbert, for fun. I only get two channels anyway, and no time to watch, regardless.

I'd second charlie rose he's pretty good, always seemed pretty objective or as objective as he could

Fox news - because its the only source thats fair and balanced.
