its cool if you like waiting ten minutes to find what you are looking for.
there are some cool ideas in there, but i hate it when people get carried away with flash. i guess it's supposed to reflect his architecture. cool in theory, but uncomfortable to occupy.
somehow I got a pop-up trojan horse on my computer. This means that as I try to work I get bombarded with pop ups for hiphop acts, hollywood news, etc... non stop at least 15 an hour, if not using the internet. If I am looking for images or using the interweb for anything, it seems to trigger it and I get about 10 X more unwanted pop ups.
The most annoying website: the one you did not choose to see.
Pretty much any website that an architect makes is crappy.
They all pretty much start with a lame flash intro
Usually some fly by text that takes forever to spell out the firms name accompanied by lame music or sound effects.
Once you get past the intro, your faced with some poorly design interface that ignores the viewing patterns of the visitor. On top of that the text is too damn small half the time. Let's not even get started on Typography.
On top of that the content is usually not well organized and poorly edited for the web audience.
Architects should stick to what they do and leave the web design to the design and marketing professionals.
Some of the listed sites in this discussion illustrate my point, i'm sure there many other examples out there.
pandpieri- i love that site! As a creature of habit, it is nearly impossible for me to not click. It’s like you have to give yourself a pep talk, "don't worry, just follow the new directions, everything will be ok, it will still work."
The GD isn't the greatest, but it's certainly an interesting study.
while its definitely not a good website, smokes post doesn't really annoy me. there are no flying links, and it doesn't require 17 clicks and animations to finally get where you want to go. but is this guy for real?

all of these websites are annoying!
the old diller and scofidio site used to really annoy me and I believed/was convinced it was the reason they had such limited built work
although it is very befitting.
