I just downloaded [and fixed] Safari Beta 3.0 for PC. Working out nicely. looks good, but doesnt seem as fast as what they say. The main reason for using is the Private Browsing feature... Brilliant.
Wow…I am quite surprised by the stats thus far. I am anti MS so anything besides MS is preferred; however, statistics on most websites validate 90%+ of their users use IE. Go figure. Where are all the IE users?
ie, because it's what i have, and too lazy to mess with it. 'choice' about an internet browser seems...unnecessary? maybe the change would open my eyes and i'd be amazed by firefox, but i'd rather just post here, doing something in which i'm interested, than mess with switching to/learning a new browser.
I downloaded Safari and I don't like how the links are strung across the top instead of the side. I have too many to fit across the top. I do like the look though.
i recently switched to firefox after there IE stopped letting me run any flash applications. I spent hours and hours and hours trying everything i could, uninstalling, reinstalling, deleting registry keys, trying different sequences of all of those above, but it never worked.
so,
IE was out the window and im now a FIREFOX user. and i definitely should have done it earlier cause im really liking it. Its running more slowly than IE did on my computers at work and at home, but the other features more than make up for the slight decrease in speed.
Ie, it is what I already have and know. I have FF, and have tried it a few times. Perhaps I don't understand the benefits, or am a simple creature of habit.
I too use firefox, but for purely peer pressure reasons. I act snooty around IE users for their lack of hipness, but I have to admit I have no idea why firefox (or any other browser) is better than another. It more or less looks like the internet no matter what I'm using. Are there secret treasures of firefox that I'm missing?
Anyway, just downloaded Firefox, thanks. Not too bad at all. I agree with what someone said above - it was a somewhat pure pressure driven decision. But I'm enjoying it.
And yeah, my girlfriend's computer has the latest IE - so what's up with that "Fraud monitoring is on" bar? Whatever is the source of that message is sending Microsoft yet another decade back on the coolness index.
What's your Internet Browser of Choice?
Curious as to what everyone uses as their preferred Internet Browser

Firefox. IE started acting all buggy and would crash when opening pdfs. Rather than trying to fix it, I just downloaded Firefox. No problems since...

Safari on my mac, IE at work (PC)... what's the deal with Firefox? Is it any different/better/worse than Safari?
