hello friends i have a BE in civil engineering  ,and a m des in industrial design idc -iitb both from  mumbai ,india,i m also thinking of doing masters in applied maths before applying for m arch first prof degree ,i m confused whether to do masters in maths or not ,but  m also interested in computational design in architecture ,i want to know whether my math degree will be important to get me in top 5 architecture schools, also want to know whether multiple degree are advantages or create a negative impact on evaluator.expecting ????

not important to get into m-arch, but if you want to do computational design it will be.  that's very ambtious of you.  I would suggest, rather than doing 2 masters, doing 1 and then going onto a phd in math with a focus on design application.....It will probably only take a year or 2 more and will probably hold more weight than an m-arch.  Is licensure important to you? Talk to a the university and see what they suggest.  I'm sure they will be more helpful.

thanks jla-x ,but without having an march ,i think the degree will be more technical ,i want to  learn things which r at the intersection of math, design and engineering .is this possible without doing m arch ???
