has anyone done something there, any experience? they are offering a pretty nice master program (SPACE) with van berkel sejima ingles schumacher sobek and a lot more good names...

Essen is pretty much the end of the world.. so I'm wondering whats going on there.
but that might be for the entire program (16 months) so compared to the u.s. it's not too shabby. though pretty rich for a german school.
and to study under SANAA, BIG, Lacaton + Vassal and werner Sobek.. not too shabby.
though i'd prefer to go to the institute for lightweight structures and study under sobek indefinitely...

Isn't it extremely expensive to study there? 35x35x35 meters for something like 20 students. Beautiful building, though.

why not just go to Staedelschule or Berlage...if not *gulp* the AA.
