I've got a couple - I like my Miles Davis station when I'm fixing dinner or having people over and I really like my WuTang station for when I'm cleaning up around the house...
I am currently digging:
-Nina Simone - I get blues, protest music, and some great indie stuff
-Tribe Called Quest - only mid nineties rap, my favorite music
-Tom Waits - it is more protest music and folk
-Belle and Sebastian - good, simple, and soft indie rock
I stick to Dave Matthews, although the other day I gave a thumbs up to some unplugged Dave Matthews, and Pandora interpreted that as "you want to hear more unplugged music," which I really didn't... *shrugg*
ocean colour scene has given me alot of nifty stuff...from portastatic to fokujima to mark sandman and alejandro escovedo. But I think I've about played that one out
wow Quilian, we got 2 of the same stations (Nina Simone + Belle and Sebastian) and I agree they are 2 of my favs.
I've got one centered on kiwi-rock called Clean Bats Chills that brings up a lot of great stuff.
I actually had a cassette compilation way back that I called "Clean Bats give me the Chills" that got a big nod of approval from a local from down there.
also get nice (pop-) classical stuff from one centered on The Rachels.
stopped in to chat with our h/r guy about the cubs and then got onto music. as i know he is a classic rocker i told him about my constant car playing cd lately "in color" by cheap trick. then he showed me his pandora station. Grand Funk Railroad baby!
from the Franz Ferdinand Station I got into Maximo Park, it gives me similar but slightly better music.
Recently been enjoying: Portishead
Because I listen so much to my Tribe Called Quest, I have noticed that the 'stock' of music they play in a station changes about every month or so. So for about a month they seem to play a lot of the same music, and then they begin to play music that still follows the original intent of the station but they have not played before.
If you make a station on Johnny cash...and then "thumbs down" all the country sounding songs that come later...it will eventually lead to a station that plays Avril and Industrial Gothic Techno. Crazy.
Those are the two I listen to the most. Others are, Alica Keys, Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Jackson 5. But the reason why I love the Lupe Fiasco and Kanye West Stations is because every single song on those two stations, you'll fall in love with (if you love Rap). And to all the people who generalize rap as "harboring hatred and misconduct", just listen to those two stations, and your mentality will change about the genre.
Pandora is the only reason I've been getting any work done at all in the past few weeks. My "Don't Stop! Dance" station is in heavy rotation (built off the Brazilian Girls song, with heavy influence from Shiny Toy Guns, The Rapture, and VHS or Beta).
That said, I think it's really lame that they won't allow access to people outside of the US, but I'm sure it has something to do with advertising (for instance, the last ad I saw was from Blue Cross of California).
"Trance for Life" (Tiesto based)
80s Dance (up-tempo backbeat stuff, it was a trick getting this one right)
Daft Punk
"TechnoRock" (Fischerspooner, Scissor Sisters stuff)
then I have my Dave Koz/Spyro Gyra based Smooth Jazz station for those slow afternoons . . .
favorite pandora station
What station are you listening to? why?

the truth is i don't really want the "same" music. i want some creativity ala a mix. complementary music. that would require imagination however.
the only station that doesn't end up mixing in total crap is my super furry animals station. it's consistently good.
I'm digging my "Gibbard Style" today. Postal Service and Death Cab
biggest disappointment: U2 station
new station i enjoy: Franz Ferdinand
Have you guys heard of the U2charist for churches?
stopped in to chat with our h/r guy about the cubs and then got onto music. as i know he is a classic rocker i told him about my constant car playing cd lately "in color" by cheap trick. then he showed me his pandora station. Grand Funk Railroad baby!
My "Vintage Alternative" station kicks ass (built off of Depeche Mode and The Cure).
from the Franz Ferdinand Station I got into Maximo Park, it gives me similar but slightly better music.

If you make a station on Johnny cash...and then "thumbs down" all the country sounding songs that come later...it will eventually lead to a station that plays Avril and Industrial Gothic Techno. Crazy.

pandora and the US govt has bitten me an awful blow. It won't allow me to listen to the music
Dear Pandora Visitor,
we can no longer allow access to Pandora for most listeners located outside of the U.S.
fuckers!
what?? what's that about?
Pandora is the only reason I've been getting any work done at all in the past few weeks. My "Don't Stop! Dance" station is in heavy rotation (built off the Brazilian Girls song, with heavy influence from Shiny Toy Guns, The Rapture, and VHS or Beta).

Also, Pandora is on Facebook now too.
