Can anyone recomend a lighting fixture mfr who makes a 1x4 reccessed fixture with a round, blade type baffles? Ive exhausted our offices catalouges and our lighting supplier seems out of options -
thanks in advance since theres thousands of mfr im sifting through
can anyone recommend a wall light fixture for lighting the wall of a two story space from below. The wall is about 20 feet high, and will have a pair of fixtures at about 6.5 feet off the ground and these should provide light primarily upward to light a large modern painting that will be placed on the second story of the wall.
Does that make sense?
I'm not looking to drop a ton of money on these fixtures, just trying to figure out what type of fixture I should be looking at to get the light mostly upward and to get enough light to reasonable light the painting. I've seen some fixtures with a 24W fluorescent bulb, will that provide much light?
Synergy, you might want to look at sign lighting like this from BK sign light, of course you would point the source up. They make arms of various lengths; other mfrs., such as Bartco make these with a linear fluorescent source.
Light from directly below the painting will emphasize the texture, and you will get a shadow if there is a frame.
24W cfl is not going to put much light 20' away, although a lot depends on the fixture and the ambient light conditions. And of course you will mount the fixture 6'-8" AFF to avoid running afoul of the ADA.
