Decent firms in NYC?

avengeradventure

Can't say I'm very impressed with much of the work I see coming out of NYC. Who are some up and comers that do good work?

Snohetta, Lewis Tsurumaki Lewis, Levin Betts, Rice Lipka Architects, nArchitects, SHoP, Diller, Scofidio + Renfro, Enrique Norten... are all doing some nice work... BIG also has a studio here if you like their work.  NYC has had some really nice buildings built in the last ten years and the trend seems to be continuing especially around the highline.

a map i made a while ago of different buildings in NYC

i r giv up

look at their addresses.
a lot of the interesting work in nyc is being done by the startup firms locating themselves along the brooklyn waterfront.

they don't build tall, but they make interesting small scale architecture.
