honestly 'urban activity hub' doesn't sound very meaningful.

what makes it urban? do urban conditions already exist, so this is an intervention in an already-thriving urban environment – an oasis of sorts? or a critique of existing urban landscape conditions?

or is the job of the project to catalyze urban activity - a provocation? something to bring about the conditions for other development to accrue around your project?

what kind of activity? how would traditional arts either serve to inform an urban condition, help it develop, or serve as a critique to it? 

not that you need to answer this post so much as maybe these questions will help you define what you’re after with this project…

when i saw "urban activity hub" i figured you meant a bus stop.  one of the nice covered sort you can sit at and be protected from rain.  it's definitely urban in nature, in that there isn't much public transportation in non-urban environments.  the 'hub' part comes from the transient population already attracted to the structure because of its use.  i would think most bus stops are able to pull in a fairly diverse crowd of people.  it is a very active area.  the population engaging the bus stop is always coming or going, considering the coming and going is the reason they are at the bus stop. 

well anyway, i focused you guy's thesis for you.  it's still up to you to decide if there is some sort of active engagement of the population or a passive backdrop to the activities already happening and all that. 

does it count as cheating if someone on the internets gives you the answer?

another answer i just thought of is kebob stand.  all of the above should apply, with the exception of people coming and going.  the kebob stand might attract more of a hungry population.  sounds like a fun project.
