tschumi acropolis museum - current status?

does anyone know the current status on tschumi's acropolis museum in athens? has it been constructed? in process? all the articles i've found seem to be at least two years old.

any tips would be helpful.

also, i'm trying to find plans/sections regardless of whether it's been built.

thanks

I think it ground to a halt for political reasons.

Also, one of the main purposes for the building was to strengthen the Greek government's argument that the Parthenon friezes (the Elgin Marbles) should be returned to Athens. Britain has absolutely no intention of sending them back though.

On top of all that, after the Athens Olympics, there wasn't a whole lot of public money lying around.

I notice the wikipedia page says that the extension is underway and due for completion this year, contra what I wrote above. I haven't confirmed this anywhere else though.

Any Athenian Archinecteuses?
