Working in Japan's Starchitect

0
ray-

I have work experience of 2 years as an assistant architects and plan to work in Japan Starchitect such as SANAA, Kengo Kuma or emerging like Junya Ishigami, Sou Fujimoto, and Akihisa Hirata..

But, there are some things that still makes me hesitate to work at Japan.

Is it true that if you work in Japan, you must be an intern first and won't be unpaid for first 3-6 month? I have heard many horror rumors about this at forum, especially at SANAA firm. But if we apply for job at Japan and must be an intern first, why on their (Japan StArchitect) website, they distinguished between an internship and (real) job vacancies? Is there anyone have true experience with this..? Please share..

thx.
