You should totally write a play on transparency!

Jean Nouvel's work in general... (the cartier building)

maybe an interesting angle would be projects using "natural" materials - or nature as such - like the project by Lacaton & Vassal with a double glass-facade-fishtank (with fish in it!). Or the D&S+R expo building (eventhough it's been over-exposed (no pun intended) already).

Use of fabric & mesh - maybe a number of Dominique Perrault's work might be interesting in this context.

Mies.

(and the beautifull story of John Cage looking at a Mies facade during rough weather and commenting how clever of Mies to invent thunderstorms.)

and yeah - a real Transparency Play would be awesome. a movie would not do.

Also Holl's new Nelson-Atkin's museum in KC uses a really nice double glazing system to filter light during the day and project it at night... the newest Metropolis has a large chunk devoted to it, as well at 90% of all other architecture publications out about now
