I am a licensed architect. I have run projects at known architectural offices and done some work of my own. I have used Vectorworks and Form-Z for 10 years. Circumstances have forced me to learn Autocad immediately.
There are obvious variables involved with my question. Nevertheless, I am curious if anyone has switched from Vectorworks to Autocad. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Besides using Vectorworks for 10 years, please assume that I have a brain that works rather well.
I used vector works during some time years ago, and even though I knew autocadd already, coming back to it I had forgotten many things. Fortunately, it's soo user friendly and basic, that it should be no problem for you to pick it up. Actually, having used vectorworks, some of the similar basic commands will work in Autocadd too.
give it a go, and let us know how things are moving along for you.

Its pretty easy to learn - you'll be proficient after a couple of solid days...
