i want one of those architect offices from TV where everything is glass and stainless steel, and it is spotless except for a simple drafting table and a couple of rolls of drawings tucked neatly to the side. that would definitely make my life easier.
I think we each need a small light on our monitors that changes color according to mood, so we would know when it's a good time to approach someone and when to wait until later.
i would probably start with paying clients, then a couch, then a fridge to keep six packs in and lastly a personal assistant to accomplish all the things i have neglected due to time constraints...like my bills for example.
things to make life easier in the office...
they should make a keyboard without the damn F1 key. i dont know how many times i've tried to press ESC only to get the CAD help menu.
or a button on your keyboard thats hooked to a machine that injects caffeine directly into your bloodstream.
or chairs...
...so I don't have to squat next to my desk for 10 hours a day...
one of my favorite threads ..
Also, I wish my company would invest in a newer version of autocad ...I'm tired of doing construction documents in R-14 and SketchUp.
also, i think they should make mice with autoclick.
mice/mouses that have that same jell (you jellin?) to contour to your hand & click position
An assistant.

Boss buttons on the keyboard that are programmed to take you directly to the autocad drawing you're supposed to be working on.
A tip jar at my desk.

Sorta like a mood-monitor?
some shoes would be nice...but L.A.'s really nice so there not really needed "in the office"
I wear a mood ring - I suppose someone approaching me could look at my hands to find out what kind of mood I'm in.
