Do portfolios really need a table of contents?

So far I have it set up like this:

T of C

CV

Design stuff

I dont know how you feel but I think unless you have projects categorized a table of contents and page numbers are unnecessary distracting.

Any thoughts?

Depends how you present it. If you will not be there to present it (e.g. it is hosted online or mailed to a firm) I would suggest a table of contents for reference purposes

TOC should not be necessary unless the document contains many, many pages and you think people will need guidance to find one project among many.  How often is that the case?

Cover page = your name, etc

Then, CV

Then, representative graphics pages

No TOC
