i really really want to join a design build program but it's going to cost me around 2000$ to join your program (airfare and all)

The cost of the six-week program is $1,000 per person. This includes cost of lodging, food, transportation to and from the housing to the work-site and a personal tool stipend. This is as cheap as we can make it. Brad Guy has fund raised for a year to subsidize this cost. Don't know where you are flying from, kellynsee, but your airfare and other costs are doubling the expenses.

Even if you were just volunteering, the relief worker housing on the Gulf Coast is $15/night. That is $630 for 6 weeks. If you spent $9 on food per day, then your cost would be $1,000. So I don't see how this program can be considered expensive.

I think if I don't get accepted to M.Arch next week, I might give it a shot. Thanks for the info/link!
