Could someone please define what "organic" really means in the realm of design?
This word is thrown around a lot in a design environment (and HGTV) however I think it is used completely out of context 90% of the time (i.e. my interior designer the other day proposed an "organic" carpet pattern that looked like a series of waves - fantastic - I quit!).
Please share your thoughts or past discussions with bosses/designers/peers about organic design.

Organic?
for some its curves and irregularities, for others it is less about geometry, but more about the way a architecture is used, or "lives".
is sustainable architecture more organic than say a 'zaha hadid'?
is she ribbed for my pleasure? how orgasmic.
