Advice needed~

dahaec

I want to apply to the fairly top notch schools such as UC Berk, Penn, U of C, Northwestern, UCLA, but I am very nervous, because I feel I'm shooting for the impossible.

My SAT score is 2120, 740 on SAT Math 2 and 760 in Chem Subject tests.

Can someone give me some advice that would help me be appealing on my applications for college?  Excuse me for my very broad question.

Do you really love architecture? Now that is the question that you need to ask yourself!

Are we talking undergrad since you're talking about SAT?

Chicago and Northwestern don't even have architecture. UCLA and Penn programs are more graduate focused. Berkeley is the only one that has a significant undergraduate program. You got to research the architecture programs more.

Some factors to consider:
1. The ARE passrates on the NCARB site
2. The overall school reputation (try Architect magazines school rankings, although its objective, it still offers some outlook)
3. The faculty
4. The student work
5. 4 year, 4 year +1, 4 year + 2, 5 year programs
6. Tuition cost
7. Region
8. What kind of work you want to do and where the alumni work
