I recall that stuff is mentioned in Content in the OMA project list. Don't have the book at hand right now, so I can't check for additional info.

The book refers to it as "Silicon Foam", I have never heard of it though.

I believe there's a section describing their material experimentations for that in the new Verb: Matters

Chris van Duijn was the guy in charge to find a non-systematic way to hang and display clothes without hierarchy and without hangbars anywhre in the walls. The whole process is pretty nicely explained in the new Verb: Matters as 'dillup' commented.
They tested various plastic types but I am not sure which kind was manufactured in the end.

It is meant to be enlarged sponge rubber or foam.

In the initial models of the project this material was used as walls, and they wanted the precise same look in the full scale building.

Vincent de Rijk (long time model builder for OMA) was responsible for developing this material in 1:1. Apparently at very high cost.

The material is cast resin in huge forms filled with water balloons.

there are images of alot of the tests and methods of creating the material in the PRADA book from OMA.

Thanks to all for their knowledge sharing. I'll check the matter and OMA website for more info.
