These construction clothes really hold up to some rough treatment, I might just have to outfit myself entirely in them. I'd strongly recommend using them whenever you go to site visits...
Of course you'll wanna check out the [link=http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jwt/scruffs_hardcore.html]ad[/link] to see for yourself (this should have made it on the superbowl). May not be exactly work friendly, so be aware..oh and sound is a must!
I watched this before bed last night. I started to post a big THIS IS TOTALLY NOT SAFE FOR WORK post right under WonderK's, but then decided I was too tired and just went to bed.
Sorry, here's your sign.
It's very well done, but honestly, I think I would have enjoyed it more if it had been a little less explicit, a little more coy about exactly what was happening. Just edited enough to actually be viable as a commercial, maybe on late-night TV only.
What happens if we women wear any of this work gear? Do we get the same response?
And mdler, please, for the love of god (and your toes), don't wear flip flops to a job site. That's so freakin' unsafe. And in my world, safe=sexy. (I love when my husband gets that triangle imprint on his face from his welding respirator - ooh lala!)
i didn't care for the video. too explicit for my taste...and too much of the usual adolescent male fantasy...but given the audience, what else could i expect?
having just read the article this morning about the structural failure at the vinoly project in pittsburgh, having watched this video, and having seen hasselhoff's question about whether those jackets are sold in philly, i can't help but wonder whether the contractors on the pittsburgh vinoly job were wearing scruffs and whether they were fully focused on the work.
Best Construction Clothing EVER!

oops, here's the ad, sorry.
Best ad campaign EVER......
I mean. Damn.
is this thread just about boots? Carhartt clothes are great, and they're made in the great USA in Dearborn (or my chore coat is, anyway)
farmer, you didn't watch the ad, did you. You should watch the ad.
No, really. Watch the ad.
My favorite part was that I love the innovation of the little film stills in the timeline across the bottom of the video!!!
That's great design!!!!
thanks WonderK: I did now. Great ad.
i spent a summer building a house in a t-shirt, pair of shorts and flip-flops
blundstone, hands down the best/longest lasting footwear i've ever owned.
http://www.blundstone.ca/casual-dress-boots.html
old pair of pumas...shorts/cargo pants/t-shirt
and a sweat rag
cough cough *watch the ad* cough cough
that was a great ad...watched it twice :)
Okay, totally missed the "not be exactly work friendly" warning.
And I thought the Philips Bodygroom ad was raunchy for a legitimate ad haha. Ridiculous. HAha. Do they sell those jackets in Philly?
I want to see how many more people posts their suggestions of quality construction apparel. HILARIOUS!
ha ha, scruffing hardcore on the jobsite.
the site visits i go on never have that type of action.

Wasn't the woman on the jobsite wearing some of the gear? At least a helmet!
AND ISN'T ANYONE ELSE AS EXCITED ABOUT THE FILM STILLS EMBEDDED INTO THE TIMELINE??!?!?!??!?!
the ad makes me want to get back into construction hahahaha
So that's why bricklayers make so much!
Susan, I knew something was getting me excited when i watched that ad! It must have been the film stills.
cheeky, very cheeky.
awesome knee pad design!!

Who needs clothes.
What about a Scruffs protective codpiece?
why would u want to protect your cod on that site?
For drop-down, easy access...
funny. my best friend from high school is British and a construction superintendent. i'll have to pass this on to him...
Susan, the timeline was nifty.

the shag carpet was fab-u-lous...
shaybug - is that a picture of my former undergrad roomate?
i've been starting to think I should have taken the internship with scruffs
yea.. now resorting to a construction summer job rather than the office internship doesn't sound so bad after all!
these are my favorite construction boots
