You can import autocad shortcuts into Rhino, the file is already in the program folder; in Rhino, go to Options (gear symbol), then Aliases, Import, and find the folder you installed Rhino in, inside the Rhinoceros folder is a folder called System, and inside that folder is a a text doc called AutoCAD Aliases for Rhino, click to open that txt file and you can start using the same shortcuts.
I normally just typing. When you type, Rhino screen will show all the commands matching with your typed words. So even I just remembered some words, I will feel comfortable.
If you are using cad, and you type your commands, its almost identical to rhino. Cad and rhino commands (typed) are very identical with some extra commands on Rhino to very specific stuff.
rhino buttons or typing?
trying to figure out which is the best to use. I know some people use the shortcuts, and the online tutorials i've seen the teacher uses buttons.
if i start using shortcuts, do you know the best crossover shortcuts if i'm most used to AutoCAD?

Typing, for sure.
except rhino seems better in that is auto fills in the commands names avail based on letter typed.
but man am I glad the "RolandModelaPlayer" is such a prominent command...can't tell you how many times I've put that one to good use....
...heaven forbid I want to rotate something from time to time.
Typing. The only reason the online tutorial uses the icons is for you to clearly follow what they are doing, not because its best practice
