I apologize in advance for such an embarrassing question, but I would rather not risk my efforts in this entry.
I have a quick question to anyone who has participated in this competition before. For its regulations, it says :
*) Applications from Japan must be postmarked on or before August 6 (Monday), 2012. In person and courier applications will not be accepted.
*) Applications from overseas countries must arrive at the competition office no later than August 6 (Monday), 2012.
It says no courier applications, does this mean I can only send the entry via postal mail? Has anyone experienced shipping things internationally via postal mail, I have only used UPS/FedEX for international shipments, never USPS.
From how I'm reading it, it looks like the "no courier applications" rule is only for applicants in Japan. I don't see why they wouldn't accept shipments from FedEx/UPS.
That's odd though, why would they not accept courier submissions from Japanese applicants, but they would from US applicants? Just being ignorant here...
