Too young to have been in the know, but has Eisenman become massively out of vogue, especially since his collaboration with Derrida and the subsequent publication of Chora L Works (which I believe Derrida quickly estranged himself from non?)
Any more info on this subject? I come from a philosophy background and became aware initially of Eisenman through this.
I don't have a favorite architect. Used to be Ando, then I saw a lot of Ando buildings and realized, everyone has some good ones and some bad ones. So it's more that I like certain buildings, but no unwavering favorite. I like a lot of the little guys though that sort of fly under the radar. Good stuff. I particularly found that in Japan. There is just a higher value on design, so you go in an alley somewhere and see a great little building.

because no one even knows that she designed buildings.
through school I was obsessed with the work and writing of Steven Holl, and that he was able to do it with a tiny practice by today's standards (11 inlc him). That didn't last long
To be honest I like different architects for different reasons
I don't know if I would call them my "favorites" but I really dig people like Josh Prince-Ramus and MVRDV because I'm very interested in how reserch can inform design. I would add REM there (of course, since that's where they come from), but lately his stuff has been too miesian even for me (although I like his design for Milstein Hall quite a bit).

I once heard David Attenborough remark that as compared to their size, the giant anthills that some ants can build has not been matched up in comparison by humans till date.
Who is your favourite architect ?
Who is your favourite ? Why do you like him/(better say zaha than her)? Which of his work do you like most ?
Brad Pitt.
I like him, cos thanks to him, my fantasy crush is single again
(i.e Jennifer Aniston )
kill your heros.
I've been into these guys lately. Waiting patiently for the monograph to come out later next month.
btw. Why do the people who ask questions like the one above never seem to offer their own opinion?
it's the politician approach: don't form an opinion until you can hear everybody else's opinions and figure out what the popular answer would be.
or, in the case of architects, polling to determine what the more too-cool-for-school under-the-radar answer might be.
i love the logo for that firm. its so poetic.
Fred Bassetti.
Howard Roark
Chili Davis
John Soane
Chili Davis is far from an architect, but I will gladly be your favorite CAD monkey.

more importantly, which architect would you like to sleep with? (not counting the ones that you've already had, of course)
Do you have a link to that interview meta? Thanks for your thoughts.
One can't improve oneself when one's satisfied with oneself.
