Just wondering. I turn on the tv and Meet Joe Black, Christmas Carol, Vacation, etc. are playing. These movies have been playing over the past few days, obviously inspiring the xmas season. I was wondering what possesses television companies to play such movies? Obviously xmas themes and family-oriented/[PG] movies are attractive for this season, but what other reasons can you think of for the display of "holiday" movies?

Bad Santa - best Christmas movie ever! My wife and I started our own tradition of watching it every Thanksgiving to get us in the Christmas spirit...
