Sustainable Design Oriented Masters

architect27_87

I am currently  a B. Arch candidate at Carnegie Mellon. I'm hoping to get some advice on apply to masters programs with an emphasis on sustainable design.

I am aware that Carnegie Mellon has a really good Masters In Sustainable Design (MSSD) program that is one of the best in the field.

It would be good to hear if there are other recommendations if I do not wish to stay at CMU post-grad. I heard good things about MIT and the GSD as well, but am not sure about other options.

Some feedback would be great!

Thanks!

Not exactly a Masters, but what about UO's PhD program? Sustainable design is their main schtick, and they're damn good at it ioo.

Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions.

I am considering CMU's Master of Science In Sustainable Design (MSSD), MIT's SMArchS in Building Technology, UPenn's Master In Environmental Building Design (MEBD) and the GSD's Master In Design Studies In Sustainable Design?

What are your opinions?

Thanks!

One of the old long-time posters here went to USC after her B.Arch for a Master's in Building Science - I am certain it had a sustainable focus and she now works in the sustainability industry.  She seemed to really think highly of the program.  I don't know anything about it personally.
