hey quick question guys, sorry if it's super basic, but, can you plot color images into vellum?
yes
yup. If it saturates too much, try setting your printer to 'draft' quality, since vellum absorbs ink differently than other papers.
doesnt the sheet start to warp at parts with too much ink?
millar does... u have to make sure it's either for an ink jet or laser...... some vary..... i think the ink jet are hotter in temp?....it's been 8 years since i printed on millar/vel 2:37am
mylar is great - but can take days (literally) to dry. There are lots of different kinds of vellums - some are made specifically for ink jet printers.
copy shop prints on all sorts. being @ TCAUP you should know that mylar=gold star the only thing better than printing on mylar is quality heavy-bond strathmore wait.. no even better, plot on mylar, inverse all lineweight to white and plot line drawings with black background. cha ching
khmay, hell of a good idea. i found that out this morning, the mylar thing, when amy showed me the samples on how it would turn out. there's three mylar prints in my desk now... and they are so pretty. they make me feel all pretty. woot.
word.
