consider just pouring the entire floor and saw cutting in the tile shapes. the form would work, but with a 24x24 tile you will need it to be min. 0.5" thick and you will break a lot of them. there is really no way to cast steel into the tile to make it any stronger. on top of it all i can't even imagine the cost of precast concrete tiles. i pour concrete countertops and get $80 to $120/sf.

how many.... make a form and do it...... formica with calked corners to get the round over...... cast upside down......
