when i switch from Paper Space to Model Space the view in model space zooms out to include the UCS (which was set by another firm, its point can't be changed and its about ten thousand miles away from our drawing). There is definately a way to stop this from happening, I just want to toggle back and forth between views and keep the view in MS the same all damn day.....
its like this in some drawings, but not all...please help me before i introduce my fist to this monitor....
autocad 2006 - UCS issue

Try setting the UCS icon to No origin.
can you move the drawing?...Move command...grab a corner then move to 0,0,0...
or you can move the ucs...type the ucs command...then origin...then pick the point where you want the origin to be...
or what chili said...just turn it off...the command is ucsicon...then type off...
turning the ucs off is just turning it off visually...the ucs will still be at the same location...
