seems hopelessly pomo now but a wonderful space to work as a muffin seller, bookseller, or cd seller: cesar pelli's gaviidae common in mpls. not really a full mall anymore, but it was great when fresh. great big 'nave' surrounded by multiple levels of galleries/walkways, very much modeled after european gallerias. finished sometime in the late 80s.
not making fun of mall retail workers, btw. that seller was me. [sigh] i miss retail.
jerde's horton plaza in san diego

moving around is kind of confusing.. but nonetheless, not what you'd call a "typical" shopping mall.. kind of pop-pomo
Shopping
Hey!
does anyone know about some nice or different shopping malls done by architects? (apart for Euralille by Nouvel)?
