ok the calculation seems reasonable. thanks for clarifying dammson. now who's going to set this FFFM (Frequent Flier Forum Miles) plan up? I think we should rely on Orhan or Javier :) let's get some good sponsors on board.
i really dont spend that much time searching youtube. you see i have all these references in my vast resevoir of useless knowledge, i just do a quick search and usually find what i am looking for. theres lots of images ive seen over the years that are luckily on the tube. of course, also, i dont post much at work. one or two a day at most. i hit it in the morning, at lunch and in the evening. i would say that perhaps only five percent of my posts would be youtube clips. here is my fave youtube clip. you wont have to bill much as its less than two minutes long!!
How do you bill your clients for time spent on Archinect???
any suggestions???
Professioanl Development
i usually read/post on archinect while i'm on the phone = multitasking. bill for the phone call time.
my accountant hasn't ask and I'm not telling.
'product research' or 'professional development'
"market research"
"operation rescue cad monkey"
(we've hired a bunch of folks for gulf coast work here)
bill it straight,
"archinect time". shiiish.
x hours total on archinect divided by y projects and general office
'site' visit...
i don't know but i got a feeling this guy could tell you:
"pre-sharpie cross meditation slurpee gulp time"
I justify is as being alot less life threating than a smoke break.
Call a lawyer and ask them how they get away with all of their billable hours.
I wonder who among the Archinect forum rats would have the highest billable hours and Archinect frequent flyer forum miles. Cast your vote.
frequent flier forum miles! now that's a good idea. what kind of gifts can we get? sign me up :)
(total comments + total entries) x 1 minute approx.= ?
this doesn't include lurking and searching youtube...
$10,000/hour.
cultural relevance tax.
what about watching youtube clips? I spend a lot of time watching vado clips and i deserve credit.
(vado's total comments + vado's total entries) divided by 1/3 multiplied by 2-3 minutes per clip = your time watching vado's youtube clips...
i figured 1/3 of vado's posts are youtube...so there's the explanation for the 1/3 multiplier

Great video!
I avoid posting at work. I occasionally read at work. Most of my annoying posting happens in the evenings - late, drunken evenings on occasion.
yeah, we know :) HA!
Katze, stop!!! You're at 8 and 444 - that seems a super cool ratio to hold for awhile!
(However since I'm pretty sure you're online right now I'm guessing the minute I submit this comment I'll see that you're up to 445...)
:)
hahahahaha - onward the march to 500, Katze, and beyond...
