has anyone spotted any modern light fixtures (table, wall, pendant, etc) that would be suitable for a beach house?
most of the ones around by italian and scandinavian firms i find to be too urban. am looking for the equivalent of a dedon or gervasoni chair, with natural or natural looking materials.
At the GRI, each carrel is outfitted with an Artemide Tolomeo and two Brno chairs. Holy cow the Getty doesn't spare any expense for their scholars. Forget the rustic look, those Artemide lamps are heaven...
cool thing about the nelson bubble lamps is that they were origionally developed w/ a spray on fiberglass material that was used in the shipping industry...somewhat contextual for a beach house
