IIT vs Sci-Arc vs Pratt

BSdesign

I got admitted by IIT, Sci-Arc and Pratt. I can't really decide which one to choose, so it would be nice if you share experience and thought about these schools. I personally like to go Chicago and got a decent amount of scholarship from IIT, but which one would be better choice for my future career?

Sci-arc +1

it has nice employment, good professors, and not too many students.

I went to IIT. It's a good mix of mies rationalism and koolhaas nuttiness. Pick & choose a little of each for balance.

A little bird told me that IIT offered the job to lead the School of Architecture to one of the three final candidates and he replied: "I can just fly in once a week, right?"

I hope they crossed him off the list.

It's a secret. Something tells me one of them is Chris Wilkinson but that is probably wishful thinking...

It would be awful to have a fly-by Dean.  Would be great to reestablish the european/international roots of the school and lets hope its not some in-bred home grown want-to-be's

You're right, TED. A once-a-week Dean would be a disaster.

If you want to work in NYC, Pratt.

In the west coast, Sci-Arc.

In the midwest, well ok, IIT is not nearly as highly-regarded as either of the other schools..

You're right, Fluxbound, it's not as highly regarded. IIT has (and has had) work to do. It's better than when I was there. I was also accepted at Sci-Arc when it was off Lincoln someplace -- I think in Santa Monica. Sci-Arc may open more doors but depends where you want to live and work.
