just thought of this....does anyone have older tennis/running/basketball shoes, in decent to great shape that they want to get rid of for either free or small money? i collect these things...just realized, this might be a good place to ask around...

i've got an older pair of nike basketball sneaks...all black, silver logo. they've never really fit. sz 10 or 10 1/2 if you're that interested.

ah, nice mightylittle. i've got those in green and i love them! architecturalchef, check ebay. i've seen vintage sneakers on there before.

my wife finally talked me into getting rid of my circa-1986 clam toes about a month ago. they didn't look this good:

i've never heard 'clam' used before, only 'shell,' as in 'shell toes.'

i still have a white pair with fat laces...i've had 'em since high school.

I can't afford to be a collector, but I keep an eye on what's out there and even pick a pair up occasionally.

I grabbed a pair of air max 95's back in the spring. had been waiting on those fo a while. also got a pair of jordan iv's and xi's (space jam colorway).

Ross - a similar pair of 95's were released saturday morning, nike did a one time only release of hybrids...using the upper of the 90,95,97 and 360 models, with the new nike 360 air system for the sole. I camped out here in boston for about 12 hrs to get a few pairs of them...

this month was tough...i gave up rent for 4 pricey pairs...nike sb releases a shoe to celebrate the mexican holiday 'day of the dead' which will cause another dent in the pocket...

chef: what do you think of the jordan dub zero's?

I didn't think much of them at first, but a few colorways have grown on me. they've got a hybrid thing similar to the air max's you picked up.

there is a new dub zero colorway being released. i actually only like the original patent blk/white's. There is a spike lee version of the jordan coming out (possibly in december) that is pretty serious...combination of 3s, 4s, 5s....
when i camped out for the 1 time only's, the majority of people were camped for the jordan grapes..(5's in wht/prp/grn)...limited release, which were not nearly as nice as the green beans that got general release the week before...
