"CBC Radio 3 Podcast showcase Canada's best new music to the world. The weekly show, hosted by vetern radio personality, Grant Lawrence, features a diverse mix of great independent music drawn from our massive New Music Canada library...is the place to hear the best new Canadian music, first." quoted from CBC Radio 3 Podcast.
If you like European trance, Dance Department out of the Netherlands is great. I typically listen to news-related podcasts and use the iTunes streaming radio stations for music. So I guess I'm not much help. . .
I'm completely addicted to last.fm. I've found loads of new music on there, through the similar artists links or other people's favorites. Good way to waste a few hours.
I also like Sound Opinions, but that's just because I'm a big talk radio geek and sometimes can't decide between music and talk, so people talking about music works out well.
If you're looking for a visual as well as an aural feast then I have just put up on YouTube an archivid entitled 'The Glory of English Gothic Architecture' accompanied by Bach's Brandenburg Concerto Mvt 1 Allegro
BEST PODCASTS (MUSIC)
I put this post in all caps because it is crucial.
I need music, and I'm broke.
What are some great podcasts for music?
Not to be one to take without sharing, my own rec's:
KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic
Radio Madrid
NuJazzSoul.com (corny name, but some good mixes)
here's two good electronic music ones:
ninjatune link
soma fm link
I agree the nuJazzsoul podcast is consistently reliable for some good tunes. A couple of other podcasts I regularly check out are:
stones throw - hip hop, soul mixes from madlib, egon etc.
soulsearching
futureboogie

Yeah, CBC 3 isn't bad. A lot of it is a bit poppy for my taste, but there's a good mix of stuff.
search for dublab and the Fader podcasts on iTunes,
world cafe, www.xpn.org public music from upenn
