The job poster, RUX said:

Our summer interns must:
1)      thrive in a fast-paced creative environment
2)      take ownership over high-level design challenges
3)      have strong graphic representation skills
4)      think conceptually as well as technically
5)      keep an open mind
6)      prove all of the above through past experience

In order to qualify the department of labor says:
The following six criteria must be applied when making this determination:

1.The internship, even though it includes actual operation of the facilities of the employer, is similar to training which would be given in an educational environment;
2. The internship experience is for the benefit of the intern (oh really??with what your asking for??)
3.The intern does not displace regular employees, but works under close supervision of existing staff;
4.The employer that provides the training derives no immediate advantage from the activities of the intern; and on occasion its operations may actually be impeded (are you sure about that?)
5. The intern is not necessarily entitled to a job at the conclusion of the internship; and
6.The employer and the intern understand that the intern is not entitled to wages for the time spent in the internship.

Rex...I mean Rux seems to be asking for a lot. Their requirements seem conflicting with the department of labor. It's kind of a bummer to see this posted on archinect.

For the sake of argument, what RUX is asking for in an intern is subjective. Their criteria may be relative to students of architecture, so as to keep away those who aren't confident in their skill set. Also, requiring skills doesn't mean you won't gain experience from an internship.

That said, the job posting is presumptuous to ask for a skilled and experienced intern without even a stipend.
