Don't know how many are waitlisted .. but wud like to ... I too wanna go there .. Does anyone know how are the chances of converting the waitlist .. ? sci-Arc people are not very helpful .. Does anyone here accepted and not going .. ?

heyy UT12, from my experience (i applied to about five schools), the sci-arc people were the most helpful in their response and everything. i suppose it's a very busy time and they only have about two or so admissions staff? i might be wrong with the numbers, but my experience has been great with them.

I'm accepted at sci-arc M.Arch II but I'll be going to GSD. I hope someone from here takes my place.

I was accepted but I am declining.  Wayyy too expensive for me.  Especially for what an architect actually makes in the US.  Student loans for 30 years?  No thanks.

I just declined admission to the M.Arch II, so hopefully that bodes well for one of you.  SCI-Arc's deadline to accept is April 23rd, so after that date is when I would expect them to start accepting wait-listers. Good luck!

Lol I chose UCLA for a couple reasons. It's in a better part of LA where I can feel comfortable and even enjoy walking around the surrounding neighborhood. Ill be having some advanced standing credits, so UCLA will let me fill those spots with any class I want, which means I have the option to explore other departments and interests. The current work seems to align with my own interests slightly more than SCI. But I do wish that UCLA was equal to SCIArcs studio environment, which is the greatest environment I can imagine.

^Just an FYI: UCLA AUD is building an off-campus shop (mainly for M.Arch II) with large "robotic arms" which I'm assuming are five-axis cnc mills.

I'm not sure if it'll be completed before you'll be in the program though.

Oh I see, I thought you were going to M.Arch II from your previous posting. I'll see you in M.Arch I! I'm sure M. Arch I will have access to a degree.
