i'm going to SCI-Arc for the BArch! :)

Im considering SCI Arc!  but i dnt know what to do about the housing situation =| . What are you guys planning on doing??

anyone contemplating going? I got into the M.Arch 2 program, and am trying to figure out whether I should work more before going to grad school, or simply go and finish it off. 

Not going to be able to make it to the open house. i have so many questions, and SCI Arc's admissions is not responding to emails =/ .

Any idea if we can differ ? 

Also, Is downtown LA safe? Is SCI Arc in a safe location? 

@as.1 what program are you considering?

you know that apt. building that she lives in? well that building is like literally next to SCI-ARC.  and it's next to their art shop supply store. pretty convenient.

I don't go to SCI-ARC but i work around there and for the most part it's pretty safe. Hobos are everywhere of course.

L.A is so boss for those who never lived here. So much to do and eat and on top of that the weather is so good.

@batman: yeah i watch it! :) love it, she's so quirky and slightly awkward in that which makes her so loveable. d'ya know what building that is? i've a feeling it's this loft building on E 2nd street but i cant be too sure. :) what about slightly further from sci-arc, in the old business district like spring street? 

hhhmm.... if it's near little tokyo i guess it's not toooo badd.

some areas of downtown is just kind of janky to me. it's safe, but it just doesn't look safe you know? i don't know the old business district too well, but anything within 1 mile or 2 mile radius of sci arc is pretty good. (in my opinion. hopefully other people can chime in)

@magamanmilk,     Ive been accepted for the B Arch program. Im indian, but I've been brought up in Dubai, so I'm pretty much a city girl :D 

@as.1 congrats on your acceptance i also got accepted and im going. Have you decided if you're going or not?

btw I have lots of friends from the UAE that now go to schook here in LA and they love it :)

Anyone knows how many are waitlisted for M.Arch at SCI Arc ..? What are the chances to make out of it ...

Really?? thats great!   Im not sure yet, gotta choose between parsons syracuse and SCI Arch..... wait listed for Pratt, so I'm very confused!

Im going to the M.Arch 1 program and I cant wait :) we are gonna get an apartment in Pasadena, the metro gold line runs straight down to little tokyo. We have a dog so we dont want to live right in the middle of downtown, prefer a more family friendly environment. (please correct me if that is NOT the casewith Pasadena) I dont mind taking the train for half an hour, i ride the bus here at home for half an hour everyday anyways :)
