tomorrow is the start of the bouwvakantie (building holiday) in holland. all builders, architects, engineers etc close down for 2 -4 weeks. yippee!

and if so, what are guys doing for the holidays?
for me its 4 days in prague, then working at home for the rest of
the 2 weeks on a private job. but at least i can sleep in!!!

in Spain also, everything gets stopped from 2 to 4 weeks depending the office...
me?? im going to Biarritz!! ;-) (and also some work at home)

actually i posted it just to stir up the USArchinectors amongst us.
i noticed on the salary poll you guys get something like 2 weeks holiday - now that sucks! overhere in nl - 36 days per year and loving it.
So *that's* how the euros get so much vacation time...
I get 22 days paid a year, plus 7 paid holidays, so that ain't bad. I just don't think I could talk the bosses in giving me 2 to 4 weeks off!!!
in USA, i think, at least, we should ask for builders appreciation day?
just like father's day, or mother's day... i don't mind if builders appreciation day is on sunday...
