I am going to attend the Introduction to Architecture program this summer, and would like more information on what will be taught, and how difficult is the course in terms of workload?
Anyone else attending this summer?
my background : 21/m/ bachelor of arts (economics) graduating this fall
no fine arts or architecture training/background
I will be applying for M.Arch I for the next upcoming academic year. I have no clue which schools yet, because I do not know where my application stands in terms of competitiveness.
I am also going to attend the summer program. Simliar background - BA in international business, graduated last year. Do you already have a place to stay? Where are you from by the way?
Hi .. 23 / m / India .... I applied to M.Arch 1 programs this year ..Don't have any design exp either .. I got into SCI-Arc, UT Austin and RISD ... but deferring the admission for a year .. goin to summer school this year instead ..
Thinking of going to columbia or SCI-Arc for the summer program .. got an admission in both .. Why have you guys chosen Columbia .. ?
I'm attending the summer program at GSAAP too. I just got accepted into the architecture undergrad program at UBC so I'm looking into getting some experience before attending. I definitely picked Columbia because the schedule looks pretty intensive and it's one of the graduate schools I want to go to.
@strangefires, great to see other people from UBC! I'm interested in learning more about the curriculum as well... if anybody had taken the summer course before?
My background: BS (Physics), attended the summer program at Wash U but have no architecture experience other than that.
I've signed up for the on-campus housing. I'll be arriving at NYC on July 3rd. Does anyone know how I can get my key to my room??? I'm really bewildered about it.....
I was accepted into this program... I found it rather odd that they accepted my application literally hours after I sent in the paperwork. I hope they actually READ my application and they weren't just desperate for applicants :/
But as it turns out, I likely won't be able to attend due to some last minute money issues. I was hoping to use this to help prepare a portfolio for an M.Arch but I'll have to do it the hard way (by myself).
Please update with your experiences during/after the program - I'm curious to see what people think about it!
