yeah, sci-arc's shop is pretty accessible. you don't even need a baseball cap.
if you want to do it legit though (and safely). i would contact our shop master, katsumi and work out some kind of deal. there are "outsiders" using the shop all the time.
public woodshop in l.a.
Does anyone know of a public woodshop in Los Angeles? I need to use a nice table saw w/ an accurate guard
i would sign up for a cheap course at a trade school (LACC) and get access to their woodshop.
i thought about doing this once, but never followed through.
i don't think public woodshops exist. unless you are a student somewhere, you may be out of luck.
chicago has them.
where are the public woodshops in chicago?
I thought this thread was about Santa Monica Blvd...sorry

Put on a baseball cap and go use sci-arc's or ucla's woodshop.
No one will bat an eye.
