I'm trying to learn more about practicing architecture in London. Does anyone what the building code they use? Is it the equivalent to IBC - or does London use a different code than say another UK city? Also, is there a Leed equivalent organization widely recognized in th UK or are sustainability issues already pretty much built into their building code (since Europe is more progressive about such anyway)...Any info and links will be much appreciated!
We have Bulding Regulations and Planning, I assume you want Building Regulations.
London is an exception to the rest of England and Wales (Scotland has it's own regs and legal process). I know there are strict regulations on party wall issues which came into force following the great fire of London and these specifically only apply within the city boundary.
