does anyone have any recommendations on web hosting sites? The less expensive, the better, and windows compatable would also be preferable. Looking to put my portfolio online so don't want to bother with someone else's templates...thanks
I've been using pair.com for years. they have awesome documentation, including making the uptime for their servers publicly avaliable. a litle more expensive than others, but very much worth it.
i've used php for 5 years. i've had no problem with them. not much customer service [only via email] so you need to know what you are doing. $9.95 a month though.
i don't know why i keep plugging this...
www.officelive.com (microsoft) is free. you have to enter a credit card, but it's free. no crazy banners either, and i think they give you a decent amount of space.
