i have a client that wants a roll-up garage door with a man door in it for the entry to the house. the doors that i have looked at (raynor) that are full glass with a man door have a bottom sill that is approx 4" high. the only way i can see to make this system wook is to cast a sleeve in the floor (house will have concrete floors) so that the door will extend into the floor and allow the door to be flush with the finished floor. the problem is when the garage door is open there will be a 2" x 14' slot in the floor. has anyone seen/used this kind of system and how to detail the man door.
