I got the adimision into the M.Arch program (post-professional) in McGill, which lasts for 12 months in 3 semesters . And I am still waiting for the letters from some US schools.
Does anyone have some insights about the program, or Montreal? Does anyone know the prospect about the program? Cos Mcgill was seldom discussed in the forum.
Is it possible for me to get a position in companies such as SOM, KPF in North America or Hong Kong (without working experience) after graduate from this one-year program.
@byen01 In fact, I've gained some understanding of the school itself. I just dont know much about the employment issue, such as the employment rate, or the reputation in the job market.
Which stream did you get accepted into? I'm sure you'd grow as a person - but I'm not sure how much more employable it will make you - unless you're interested in academia?
I think you're correct. Great school - but I think your work prospects are mostly portfolio based....and If you want to work for a NYC based firm, you would do well to attend school in the city to build your personal contacts. I went to school in Canada and found work there - so I guess it's not a pre-requisite, but being that you're focused on that market why not make the move there right away?

Thank you.
Does anyone have ideas about that?
Why'd you apply to a program that you're not familiar with? Congrats on the acceptance, but seems rather silly, don't you think?
Hi there, I also applied to the same program but have yet to receive any news from McGill. May I ask where are you currently located?

@sherkel27
I only received an unofficial acceptance several days ago. I lived in China.

@snapple
Thank you very much. It is Cultural Mediations and Technology.
Some of my teachers said that the post-professional programs in Mcgill are kind of like the pre school of the PHD program.
