I think it is better to pursue a daytime job first. The face-to-face interaction with and exposure to people in the profession will be more valuable than if you are "invisibly" working at night.
If you already have a daytime job (I'm not sure from your post if you're a student or working professional), it makes a lot of sense to pour yourself into that job if you have extra time in the evenings, rather than pursue a completely different job.
Also, don't work too much - you don't want to get burned out. Cherish your free time.

any one know of any evening--(after hours) jobs in architecture? do they exist? Like night rendering or something?
