I'll explain to your in detail since ur a novice.
AND PLS READ CAREFULLY.
See pal, those grids are calibrated to a certain measurement. mostly metric with a unit of centimetre or smallest unit 1mm x 1mm square.
so if you are using that to represent say a square room , then u may use that if you are doing by metric scale.
E.G your design is a perfectly square space of 1 M x 1 M and your using a scale of 1 cms : 100 cms
then on a centimeter graph..your space will be represented by a square of one unit x one unit.
( since ur scale was 1 cm : 100 cms..hence 1 cm denotes 1M)
( 100 cms make 1 M )
so u may use a graph for preliminary understanding of the magnitude of scale of spaces.
many beginners in arch do that.
SO
..in such a way
u may employ that method to define the scale of forms and spaces..after you adapt to scale and visualisation , u can gradually get rid of the graph paper .
the grid in graphicdesign be used in architecture?
can the grid in graphic design be used to show architectural elements like spaces and form?
can o worms
wat?
butterflies and cookie jars
why's everyone bullying me?
lol sweetie...
( If I understood your cryptic question correctly )
well the grids in any software interface are really a poor basis to use as default in ur own design.
try being more imaginative.
i mean grids as in grids on a mathematical graphpaper.
thanks anyway for responding man.
soulikeit.sweetie
i understood ur question finally.

I hope ? you understood.

two graphic design threads in one day from the same person? slow down a little. the sun will rise tomorrow.
I guess they weren't created on the same day. But they're both on the front page on the same day. (yes, I'm safe!)
I just scrolled down a little more. Make that 3 graphic design topics started by the same person on the front page. Yay!
