Imagine you and a group of eight friends are looking to go on a unique summer trip. You've done camping for the past three years, but his year you want to go somewhere off the beaten path and experience the world in a different way. No limits on where to go but price may weigh on the decision, we are a bunch of college students. Where would you go?
Rent a houseboat at Lake Powell for a week. There is lots to explore once you get away from the day trippers. Camp on any beach or shore. Tow a ski boat for a little extra $, the water is like glass every morning.
what's your budget per person for the entire trip?
i'd say south or central america. the getting-there cost is a bit more but once you're there you can stretch a dollar. avoid columbia and venezuela right now... machu pichu maybe?
or you could fly to LA and do a road trip down through baja. lots of surfing, kayaking, whale watching... etc. etc.
alaska could be really fun in the summer as well.
but do something adventurous while you're young. europe you can do middle aged.
asia also is cheap once you get there, but is several hundred more to get to than south america. though you CAN find some good flights to japan and china now for a decent $. but summer is peak season.
Peru is really cheap, especially if you have someone in your crew who knows Spanish, so that they can talk down prices even more. Getting there shouldn't cost more than $500/person roundtrip, if you do your research.
Snowboarstar2 do you fancy something unlike nothing you've ever encountered? A Caribbean island about the physical size of your university, with about 1/10 of the people. Diving unlike anything. Hiking adjacent to an active volcano and the opportunity to trek the remains of its buried capital? And a chance to stay in a house formerly owned by the likes of sting, keith richards, elton john, amongst other for less that the price of staying in a hotel. Flights aren't direct but aren't the best places just off the beaten track?

Asia is cheap and easy to get around...oh and incredibly beautiful. You can easily get lost in China, Vietnam and Thailand for a summer.
We are into Glamping. Go to "Glamping Hub": https://glampinghub.com/ and it will lead you all over the world.
Is it easter already? why else would a 8-year old thread be resurrected?
oh... I get it, someone is spamming their blog site.
