...I don't get why you'd even bother wasting your time checking if all those schools clearly state that they'd release decisions in March. Stop wasting bandwidth.
The earliest you might hope to hear anything is early March. Some schools, not until April and even beyond. Really, no point in obsessing over it yet. Generally, I have noticed that admitted students are notified first, followed by rejections sometimes weeks later. Sometimes, they come in waves as well: some in, some out, more in, more out, etc. I like Penn's style--telling you exactly when you will find out. I wish the other schools adopted that approach.
Does someone know where I can check my application status at GSD?
I've checked the website where I submitted the app, but it looks pretty much the same than a month ago, and it doesn't have aanything like "status" or "complete application" or "incomplete application", like SciArc or MIT have.
Changing subject, I received an email from SciArc about financial aid, and even knowing that it is supposed to be an entirely independent subject with admissions, I still think it might be related with me being admitted or at least being on a second admission's stage. And I specially believe that after reading that gradcafe site, where it says
Sci-Arc / 9 Feb 2012 / first batch of accepted students; need to reply admission packet in one week
@jpugarte, it should just say "You submitted your application to Harvard at xx date" above the 'to do list', along with the submit confirmation under the 'to do list'. It's not like you could even submit an incomplete application in the first place.
And sure? Though the few schools' fin aid departments I'm familiar with just process all FAFSAs and generate prelim. fin aid packages for all students who applied so that they don't have to wait until a specific department gives them a list of the accepted students in late Feb/early March and make them crank out numbers then.
And yes, I think you are right. Anyway, I am an international student, so I'll call later to ask a few questions about the documents I have to submit and I'll ask how the admissions process is going.
@jpugarte1, did they offer you money? I received an email from SCI-Arc's financial aid office as well, and I believe it's just a general notice reminding students to fill out their FAFSAs or whatever the process would be for you.
The post from the lucky SCI-Arc applicant on gradcafe? - Already enough to tell me I don't want to see the site. Good luck to you and everyone else.
2012 GSD, YSOA. GSAPP, Penn M. Arch i Applicants
Does anyone heard back from those schools yet? any current students in those schools heard about internal admission news???
just curious
thanks
Just wait 'til March 14 like the rest of us! Penn just started reviewing, guessing so have all the other schools. Go knit something in the mean time.
And learn some grammar while you're at it...
i check my online status three times a day, guessing i got adhd... lol

MIT has started reviewing too. The wait is so suspenseful!

This site is the devil, but here you go anyway if you're the type that needs to obsess over it... http://thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php?q=architecture
Having been through this process last year and failing, I for one, am going to avoid that site like the plague and take the results as they come.
Best of luck to you all!
its funny how all the new nerds come into these thread and make fun of each other
do not go to thegradcafe, it will ruin you and make the wait that much worse... i know. it's best to find something else to occupy your mind with
